Today we celebrate 6 years together since our wedding. And  a lot more that we’re together.

I have no words to describe my pleasure, but at least I can say that having you by my side means so, so much… that even the toughest moments are smoothed, that any problem that exists in the world, and in me, could even let myself down, but still, when I think about us and in what we build together, it brings the safe and truly feeling that I’m so happy after all.

Here are two favor options for a birth or a baby shower. Cute versions for girls available too!

This one bellow is great to use with cello bags with sweeties (like macarons or chocolate, as examples) or even as cupcake toppers.

And this another one is a favor box with a thank you tag with the baby’s name on the reverse side. Also great to have sweet things inside!

Note: Sweeties are sold separately, for you to choose the best fit for you! But if you need any advice you can ask me about it.

By the way, for chocolates I would recommend Chocoart, they have one of the the best truffles I’ve ever ate! :-)

Another romantic card, just listed here!

Dear friends,

Once more I’ll be participating in a craft fair organized by Old Skool Crafts in the St. Michel church in Mile-End, here in Montreal. Despite of the cold weather, I hope I can  receive the visit from everybody that is around! The event is going to be on the next weekend, on 12th and 13th February, from 11am to 6pm.

I’ll share the table with my talented friends from Chocoart. There will be other kind of products besides ours and I’m sure you’ll find the perfect gifts for your loved ones in this Valentine’s Day!  For more information you can go to their event page on Facebook.

Ah! Today is my birthday! Wow, I never thought that this age were arrive so fast! But I’m so happy the way that life is with 30 years and it is what matters!

Everything is happening as I planned, I love my work, I have a wonderful husband (and cute kitties too!) and amazing friends!

I have nothing to complain, just to be thankful! I’m a little slow in this beginning of the year, but in a little while I’ll jumpstart and have everything updated in here!

It will be the perfect place for you to buy unique Christmas gifts as we will have the participation of over 60 amazing local artisans  with jewelry, photos, delicious handmade chocolates, cupcakes and more! And of course, I will be there with my products!

Hi everyone!

Again I’m setting things up to participating with my paper goods in some year-end craft fairs! Here’s a small sample of what I’m making for Christmas:

The first bazaar will happen in Westmount, on November 20th, at Greene Centre with different kinds of crafts and activities for children. Beyond the bazaar we will also have the Empty Bowls Program which, with a donation, you can have a handmade bowl made by a local artisan with homemade soup inside. All funds raised are going to be used for children’s food programs and community programs.

I hope you can visit me at this time! But stay tunned to my next posts about the Mile-End craft fairs that will happen in the next few weekends!

This time I left both patterns in lilac tones, prefered color of the mommy to-be, and I developed the inside of the card with a place to insert the photo of the new baby!

This card, conceived for a very special moment, a baby birth, works for boys and girls! :-)

Here is a detail of the felt part:

First of all I would like to apologize for not writing for a long time. After some custom orders that I loved to make, some small health issues and some other contingencies… I’m back! :)

Although I prefer and LOVE everything related to paper I have to confess that I really like felt too. It is a great complement for my work besides being a very versatile and easy to handle material. There are so many artists that do an excellent job using it, like Dani from Moça Arteira or Irma, from Gifts Define as examples. You must see their work!

Now on a different note, getting back to the felt topic soon, these days I bought an interesting book to give as a gift to a very special person, called Listography: Your Life in Lists, created by Lisa Nola. It brings together several topics in list format that help you to create your own biography, with details, experiences, opinions, lists of favourites, visited places… Anyway, a very creative way for you to register your keepsakes and memories for people to know (and/or yourself as all our memories tend to fade away over time!) who you are today and what you’ve been in the past… Lisa also has listography.com, a website where you can create all kinds of lists, it’s really interesting!

Then, thinking about a perfect solution for packaging a fountain pen as a gift (which I would like to send with the book, as part of the gift, so the person can write the lists with it) and send it to a far destination without any damage, I resorted on this material and I made myself a felt pen holder:

The event will happen on the next Saturday, August 21th, from 11am to 6pm and will have a lot of free activities and a design and craft street fair. It will be at St-Viateur Street (between Jeanne-Mance and Saint Urbain Streets), and it’s organized by the same association: Car Free Mile-End.

When the Etsy site was launched in 2005, certainly it opened doors for thousands of professionals. I know that a lot of people have already had contact with it, but at the same time I realize that many others haven’t yet. Etsy ended up being a huge community, where people who make and value handmade items use it not only to sell but also to buy products, but I feel it still lacks advertisement that is more global, so people that are not directly envolved in that creative environment can get to know the service and realize how much they can take advantage of this great and very well organized tool.

This worldwide e-commerce portal offers handmade and vintage items as well arts and crafts supplies. The payment system is very simple and it depends on each seller, but the great majority accept Paypal, a fast and safe way to make any kind of payment.

Taking in consideration my great admiration for Etsy, and gratitude for it to exist (!), soon I’ll launch my own online shop and, as well as in the crafts fairs that I love to participate, all of you will be able to always check over the new products  that I’ll create.

Although I’m structuring my new store just now, I didn’t start to use it recently: I visit the website almost everyday (and many times during the day, sometimes lol) to get to know the wonderful artworks from excelent artists, that are posted every day. You’ll always find new things, every second!

In one of my visits, I was so lucky to find Persian Garden, the online shop of Afi, an extraordinary artist that makes amazing illustrations. When the order arrived at home, flawlessly wrapped, I felt the pleasant sensation that nothing could be as perfect for my living room as that!

In the photo above, you will find the following illustrations: Cypress Tree in brown and ivory (the ones in the edges), Paisley Bird and Pomegranate Tree (the ones in the center).

It really worths it to check this designer’s work that is inspired, in a very delicate way, by the Persian art and culture.

In the Plateau, there will be a two-days event with lots of kinds of works, as paintings, photography, wood and fabric creations, among other products. My dear and talented friends Claudia and Fabiola are going to be there with their jewelry and purses. And I’ll be there too with my paper goods!

Together we discussed some main ideas and, after that, I started the preparation for it: first of all the invitations. She wanted it to double as a bookmark, so the guests could use it even after the party.

I selected an original illustration of Saint-Exupéry that had only the outline, so I could watercolor it. After the painting, I digitalized it to make the layout and write the texts.

Here are the photos of the final results. During the making process I employed paper and felt as main materials. For the text I used the Little Days font as it looks a lot like the book’s.

And the final result is here:

For the party decoration I prepared tags with the names of each snack and treats bags tags. Also I’ve made some pompoms to decorate the room. I used the font mentioned above, original images from Saint-Exupéry and a Photoshop’s brush that worked perfectly as watermark.

The Little Prince in biscuit and the keyrings (party favors), made with felt, were made by Mania de Boneca.
